OK, I don't understand.

I have seen a brialliant deal on the last X61T tablet PC< with the 1024x768 screen. The thing is - was is the issue with multi-touch? It seems 'some' of these PCs have multi-touch and some don't, but what is it?

And if the PC I have seen doesn't have multi-touch - will I be able to draw on the screen or not?

Very confused - anyone able to shed some light on this?

Thanks!

felixgogo:

"Multitouch" refers to being able to use your fingers on the screen to manipulate objects. For example, you can point and click directly with your finger.

If the X61T model that you are looking at does not include multitouch, then it's still a tablet PC. Using the included stylus you can point, click, manipulate, and draw on the screen. You just won't be able to use your finger as a pen (stylus) substitute.

Touch is OK for pointing and clicking but it is a poor substitute for a real stylus when drawing, unless you like kindergarten-style finger-painting.
