Help: My screen switches between black and normal!

Hallo everyone,

I have a very annoying problem, which occures for example when I install a new SW, during a Windows-Update or when I compile under Visual Studio.

During these kind of actions, my screen becomes totally black and the mouse pointer appears, like in old console days, as a white square. Than after a second the screen switches back to normal.

Sometimes, especially during SW installation, this switching occures 10 or 20 times in a row.

Does anyone here know the problem?
Where does it come from?
How can I switch it off???
