Are we talking about the X60s in your sig here? If so, I believe that takes a different LCD than a regular X60. What is the machine type/model number for your laptop? .e.g Mine is a 1702-3QU

According to the wiki, they all have the same DPI and brightness.

FRU 13N7092 is for an X60s Ultralight, and that is brighter. You do not have an ultralight model. That was what I was thinking of before when I mentioned differences in LCDs for X60 models.

thankyou
no is a spwg model...even if i see that in ebay it is possible to buy the single part to assembly a TMD model ..and the price of a TMD is quite the same of a SPWG lcd screen.
but then an X60 1703-e3u could fit a TMD complete screen ? ( assemblyed with all the righ parts such as cover lid, lcd cable, and what else? inverter? hinges? antennas?)
i ask this just because i love brighter lcd such as the VAIO Xblack; so if i could ...maybe that in future, if the mb and bottom case fit an ultralight, i'll swap the SPWG screen with a TMD. this is only a project..but maybe... :D

The cover and bezel are different for an Ultralight (TMD) LCD. So basically you could install one on your machine, but you'd have to get an entire ultralight LCD/lid assembly to do it, or else all of the parts individually.
