How to install Windows 7 (institutional) with R&R partition

Hello everyone.

I have a TP X61, with Vista Business, and I am very happy with it. However, in my job, I can get up to two licenses for Windows 7 ultimate for $10 bucks. Needless to say, I am tempted to upgrade. I was wondering if there was a way to do a clean install recreating the Lenovo recovery partition. Would I need to have the Lenovo discs? Is there any guide on how to do it? I did a search, but most threads seem to be related to specific problems. As usual, many thanks in advance - any input is greatly appreciated.

Robert

EDIT: I should say that it's not quite a retail copy of Windows 7, but rather an institutional license.

You can install Windows 7 along side the original Windows installation. It will move everything into a new folder called Windows.Old, but leave it intact. You can then move over whatever files you want to and then delete the old folder. This leaves your drive structure totally intact, but still gives you a fresh install of Windows!
