Here some Pictures :)

[Mod edit: Replaced all inline pics but one with links to pics - Please keep pics to a minimum to make things easy for dial-up/smart phone users! If you like, you can replace the rest with thumbnails.]

And in addition to the extended life battery:

http://www.chaotika.org/~bluesceada/mis ... 4612_1.JPG

I don't use Windows, (and don't want to boot it just for some screenshots, sorry) But I can give you the data I can read out by tp-smapi drivers:

This is probably interesting:

Charging Max Current: 3000
Charging Max Voltage: 16800
Chemistry: LION
Design Capacity: 95040
Design Voltage: 14400
First use date: 2010-05-19
Last Full Capacity: 99530
Manufacture Date: 2009-11-02
Manufacturer: SANYO
Model: 93P5030 (probably wrong ?)

Beware that this information can be completely wrong, as the manufacturer of the battery could put any data he wants inside the chip of that battery.

Tell me if you need more informations, as I am not sure what you wanted it for.

Thanks for the photos. Looks quite bulky.

On the last one I assume we see the 12 cell together with the extended battery. But what is the big case on the second photo from the end? Doesn't look like a dock to me.

How long can you run on the 12 cell + extenden battery?

It's an Extended Life battery:

It's heavily based on what you use the notebook for, so when doing wlan+firefox with a lot of tabs (around 10-20), I get around 9 hours, I think (didn't really check, and you can't rely on what is reported). And then around 1.5-2 hours more with the added battery on the bottom ...

All does highly depend on usage, screen brightness etc.

Can you comment on how thin or flimsy the casing feels in comparison to the original battery?

I would expect it to be more thick, taking into account the added stress on the casing as it's now bearing the weight of the laptop. However, considering it's after-market, I worry about them cutting a corner here.

Thanks for the info.

sweet pics, i think i'll try pick one of those up later on. funny how the extended battery just makes it look right...i can't really justify the ebay price though, about 60 bucks for just 2 hours more...
galactus wrote:I just received my 12-cell battery from China. It took almost 3weeks to arrive but everything else went smoothly with the seller.

My 12-cell lasts up 11,5 hours with office/surfing on internet w/wlan on.

the 6~ hours the 8 cell i got is nice freedom, but with heavy use it will be less, the less you have to worry about plug in, the more useful the thing gets...even with the added thickness... carrying around an ac adapter is far worse after all.

Any follow up posts regarding these 12 cell batteries? It seems so cool, but I'm reluctant to spend that much cash on a non lenovo battery.
