I saved and after the reboot it asked for a password - fine, no problem there. Next I wanted to do something in the BIOS so I entered the BIOS but discovered that I can't change anything - unless I enter the supervisor password. Thats ok - if only I knew WHERE I'm supposed to enter it? It drives me nuts, it feels as if I've overlooked it but I can't for the life of me figure out where I'm supposed to enter it.
Any pointers?
All google results I get is from people that have lost their password (which I have not) so I haven't had much luck with that.
From the Service and Troubleshooting Guide:
Heres my proceure:If you have set a supervisor password, the BIOS setup Utlity menu appears after you enter the password. You can start the utility by pressing Enter instead of entering the supervisor password; however, you cannot change the parameters that are protected by the supervisor password. For more infomation, refer to the on-board help.
I boot the computer.
Press F1 to enter the BIOS.
Gets prompted for a password, the supervisor password doesn't work here so I enter the power-on-password
The BIOS appears, in user-mode with no option what-so-ever to enable supervisor mode(?)
