X6 series keyboard, some help required.
Hi,
I'm after a UK keyboard for my X61 but with all the part numbers its a bit confusing.
1. Are the keyboards for all X6 versions the same.
2. Is the keyboard for the tablet version the same as the non-tablet version.
I looked on the back of the one in my X61 and the part numbers are.
Part number 42T3042
FRU 42T3074
However looking on ebay there's a myriad of compatible numbers. This one is listed as an X61 keyboard
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... TQ:GB:1123
but with a different part number. Secondly the blue button is different to mine.
Can anyone offer any advice. (there is also the different makes, NMB and Chicony)

Re: X6 series keyboard, some help required.
AFAIK, all keyboards for all X6 are the same, including Tablet. There has been a change in numbering between X60 and X61, but the keyboards should be 100% compatible. Different countries have different layouts, though.
Current: X220 4291-4BG, T410 2537-R46, T60 1952-F76, T60 2007-QPG, T42 2373-F7G
Collectibles: T430s (IPS FHD + Classic Keyboard), X32 (IPS Screen)
Retired: X61 7673-V2V, A31p w/ Ultrabay Numpad
Past: Z61t 9440-A23, T60 2623-D3U, X32 2884-M5U

Here's my problem. On this keyboard its listed as UK, and if you search the part number it comes up as UK, BUT if you look closely the @ sign is above the number 2. As far as i know this is a USA layout. In the UK the @ is above the ?.
....and the blue enter key is a different shape to mine.

Indeed it seems that they just pictured the US keyboard. A UK keyboard layout should look like this:

Only they can say as to what they actually have in stock...
