X61T& Windows 7

#1 Post by kiranvanumati » Fri Dec 18, 2009 9:24 am

Hi,

I own a T60, but I am interested in trying a X61T with windows7.
I was looking for some deals on that, but after searching for experiences with Windows7 on tablet I didn't find anything fantastic, if I understood properly.

I use a touchscreen phone so one can guess what I would be expecting of a tablet and not just that I am a normal user ( browsing, documentation and watching movies).

I am on the verge of buying a tablet, so can anybody suggest me if it is worth trying a tablet.

Thanks
Kiran.

You're not going to get the same experience on the tablet as on your phone.

I have a HTC Dream (Android phone) and also have the X61t with Windows 7. Windows 7 is still pretty much going to behave the same as all the other previous Windows.
X22 - 800mhz - 640MB RAM - 60GB Hitachi 7200rpm 7k100
X40 - 1.4ghz - 1.5GB RAM - 8GB Transcend 300x CF on Addonics CF/IDE Adapter
T42p - 1.8ghz - 15" UXGA - 1GB RAM - 160GB HDD
X61t - C2D 1.6ghz - 12.1" SXGA+ - 8GB RAM - Intel G3 300GB SSD

Hi Kiran,

I don't suggest buying a tablet for a T Series user. For the reason that Tablet processor is slower when compared to the normal processor because it has to be light weight and low-voltage processor. You will find a huge difference in performance.

Sandeep.
