screen auto rotate not functioning

Hi,

I have a Thinkpad x60t multitouch LCD unit that I attached to a Thinkpad x61t non multitouch body unit, but the auto rotate function does not work. I can rotate the screen through the button on the LCD bezel. When I attach back the original thinkpad x61t non multitouch LCD unit to the thinkpad x61t body unit, the auto rotate function does works. Any ideas?

And where is the auto rotate (accelerometer?) device located?

Current System Setup:
CPU: Intel L7500 dual core
RAM: 4GB DDR2 at 800MHZ
HD: OCZ 60GB Summit SSD
OS: Vista Ultimate SP2 32-bit
Thinkpad X61T body unit attached to Thinkpad X60T multitouch LCD unit

Happy New Year =)

Thanks

Hi loyukfai,

I have installed all the drivers necessary. I have tried installing them in specific orders according other forums. I have tried restoring my system to previous dates, that did not work. I also used
Lenovo system update and that did not help. I will look into this Lenovo Hotkey patch. The last option is to reformat the hard drive.

Thanks

According to ThinkWiki, the accelerometer is located on the system board. If that's also the case for the X61T, it seems unlikely that a screen change will cause the system to lose this function.

But who knows, maybe it's not the case for the tablets... Or something else is interfering...

Hope you get it resolved soon.

Cheers.
