X60S SATA Drive

I've just got hold of a used Lenovo based Fujitsu 60G drive as a backup for my X60S
but after cloning the primary drive's XP onto this one without a hitch, it doesn't boot.
I've done this many times with ATA drives in Thinkpads and the SATA drives in my
desktop without issue, but in the X60S the drive won't boot. It can be read as a second
drive in the ultrabase but when used in the primary drive slot all I get is a flashing curser
after the BIOS part of the boot.
Did I miss something?

What tool did you use for cloning and where was the new 60GB drive when you did the clone? It is best to put the target new drive in the Thinkpads hard drive bay.

Of course it was something simple, namely a firmare upgrade (Hard drive firmware update utility (Bootable CD ISO) - ThinkPad) from the IBM/ Lenovo site.
Luckily I had a Lenovo based HD so it took the firmware, I re-cloned the OS and voila a bootable HD.
Harry...I use Casper XP. When Ghost became a bloated unreliable mess and I'm not an Acronis fan, I came across this really easy, works first time software. After many, many (XP) cloning successes I have not had a single problem.
