I am having trouble getting my x61t with the ultrabase to boot from the DVD+R in the ultrabase. I made the iso on a mac, which should be fine, burn ISO to DVD no problem, this works fine for normal installs,
but, I cannot seem to get it to read from the DVD and boot from it?
Is there a trick, or does one need DVD-R only?

Does the DVD show up on the boot list (F12)? If so, is it the first boot item?

Yeah, I did install Win7 in my X40 using a USB stick. If you have an ISO image of your Windows you can use poweriso to make a boot USB disk. It just takes around 5 minutes to create and it worked great for me...
