X61s becomes flaky after waking up from sleep

#1 Post by Involute » Mon Apr 12, 2010 10:27 pm

I have an X61s running WinXP Pro. If I turn on the WiFi radio and then put the PC to sleep, when it wakes up the entire system is flaky, ultimately hanging and requiring a reboot. I get this behavior even if I turn the radio off before putting the system to sleep. If I never enable the radio, everything works fine. Has anyone experienced similar behavior? Any ideas about what I should do? Thanks.

It's a bit hard to diagnose the fault if we don't know what the system is. Put your laptop in your signature, or give us machine type number.

Yeah... That's not going to do - Configured To Order systems are in fact configured to order, which means they can be any configuration you order. The correct number for viewing configuration on these systems is in fact PRODUCT TYPE, not MACHINE TYPE. My X60s is 1703-CTO, 1703-WUT. The CTO code does not give away any configuration parameters whatsoever.
Ok, let's try another route - what's your wireless adapter?
