About X61 Tablet Fan Assembly Model no.

Hello all,

I just got a dying X61 tablet from my friend as a gift. The tablet came with fan error. So i need change a fan assembly. I checked for a while, but still quite confused with the part No. of the fan assembly. Is it 42x4399 or something else? The model of the machine is 7764-CTO.

That number is right. For most models, the "fan error" usually means a bad fan. For X61 tablets, I have seen more blown fuses and bad thermal sensors than bad fans. I have an extra motherboard if it turns out you need one.
