Boot from PCMCIA/Cardbus on a x61s?

When I go to install Windows XP or Windows 7 from a CD on my X61s, the SD card slot does not show up as an option; I am guessing since you cannot boot from it. However, my PCMCIA slot with a compactflash card in it does indeed show up. I've tried installing Windows to it but I do not see how to tell the x61s to boot from it. Is there any possible way? Maybe a BIOS mod perhaps? I looked through the BIOS for a while but did not see anything that referenced the PCMCIA slot as being bootable. Thanks to anyone who can help!

I am not aware of any Thinkpad since the 600 series that allowed boot from PCMCIA.

Get one of the following, and you are done! You get "built-in" booting capability -- presumably what you are after -- albeit you have to remove the SD card from its slot and convert it/use it as a USB device during booting, since the X6x can boot from USB but not from SD or PCMCIA:

If you are going to consider booting from a USB device, and knowing from a previous post you have a fast CF card, you may want to consider this:

I've been wanting to buy one just haven't gotten to it yet. If you buy one please let me know how it works!
