X60 noob

I have decided I would like an x6x. What is a most prized model out of the series between the x60, x60s, & x60t?

My concerns are build quality, screen, & battery life.

How do the x6x series compare to the x4x?

I think the X60 is a good choice over the X61 because they run cooler. If screen quality is important, then the tablet is the way to go as it has an IPS screen, but it's heavier than the non tablet. You can put the screen from a tablet into a X60, but it's quiet involved. If you're interested in that, the X200 is probably a better choice, though it'll be more expensive. The AFFS screen is widely available on eBay and is a drop in replacement on the X200. From a performance perspective, the X4x machines are terrible because of the hard drive used in them is very slow and tends to be clicky. Plus the upgrade options are limited and expensive but they're nice machines otherwise.

I get about 7 hours on my X200 with the screen at 7/15 and wifi on. I've haven't tested a X200s. The review vary widely it seems. Laptop mag 10.5 hours with the 9 cell, while they got 7.5 at notebook review. Probably a lot will depend on the settings.
