HDD dimensions
HDD dimensions
I need to upgrade the hard drive in my X61s (Machine Model #: 7668CTO) and I'd like to know the dimensions of the one in there without removing it, or the max dimensions that are acceptable for a replacement, to make sure I get something that fits (thinking of a Seagte Momentus XT, 9.7 mm x 70.1 mm x 100.55 mm). Does anyone know? Haven't been able to find this info on the Lenovo site. Thanks.
Re: HDD dimensions
Any 2.5" SATA Laptop hard drive will fit, including the Seagte Momentus XT.

Re: HDD dimensions
hi Involute ,,,
most 'normal' 2.5 SATA II hard drives will work - Critical diamensions = 9.7mm HEIGHT ONLY
I have often used these in most all my TP's including the last X61 Series I had...
I often use this E'tailer ,,,, they never let me know YET in last 7 yrs ,,,! (also great if u messup and wana return something!) nope I dont work for thm ,,,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6822145361
HINT/TIP = download 'Acronis TRUE IMAGE' demo-free version and will do Eggcellent job at 'copying' your existing HARD Drive to the new one you going to get !!!
good luck
