Does multi-touch work on the x61t with fresh Windows 7 install without drivers? Or does it need a driver?

i don't think the x61t hardware supports multi-touch.

the windows 7 OS itself does support multi-touch functionalities. but it requires hardware support.
Think
about it.

According to this: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Category:X61_Tablet there is a model with multi-touch.

I was just curious a few days ago since there was an ebay auction on a X61t with multi-touch screen, but the description said tablet functions weren't enabled since drivers weren't installed yet on Windows 7. It also didn't include the stylus. (I did not bid on this auction.)
