Problem with Backspace Key on x61

I have an x61 that suddenly has a problem with the backspace key where I have to press it fairly hard to get it to respond. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Pop the key off and use a can of air cleaner to blow out any possible dirt. Do it gently...snap the key back in place after you have tested it.
