Fair warning: Lenovo doesn't have any X61T SXGA+ panels

I sent my beloved X61T to Lenovo for repair; the system was crashing a little bit since they last replaced the motherboard, and also the screen bezel was separating.

I figured since there was an official blog post at http://lenovoblogs.com/connections/?p=6 about the issue, they'd be prepared to deal with it. So no worries, sent it off before Thanksgiving.

I just called to check on things, and they said they still don't have an ETA on the part. So they said they would talk to their parts department and see if they can ship one in from another country. I'll hear back within "24 to 48 business hours".

I really look forward to getting it back!

Update: I forgot to mention the other real problem, which was the reason I sent it in: The panel backlight failed, so I couldn't see anything. (-:

I don't know that not having an ETA means they won't secure some in the future.

Yeah, I just meant that they don't have any right now. Later, maybe they will!
