max ram on x61s - 8gb ?

is anyone running their x61s on 8GB of ram?

i picked up a used x61s off ebay a couple of months ago and would like to confirm if the maximum amount of ram that the chipset can recognize is 8GB. reading thru some old threads, it seem to indicate that 8GB is supported, but would like to know for sure.

i'd like to use this laptop for some light VM-ing and would install a 64bit OS to make full use of the extra memory if it supports up to 8GB.

8gb works fine with x61s (at least with 7666 machine)
