X60 BIOS APM Auto turn on?

Hi All,

Would like to purchase a Thinkpad for server duties, and thinking an X60, but looking for an auto-turn on feature so when power gets cut/juice runs out, it can auto start itself.

From what I've seen it's a big ask in notebook world, but easy on Desktop world (BIOS option of auto-turn on after power failure), however I believe within the APM side of notebook BIOS'es there might be some hope.

Would any X60 owners here be able to do a quick check for me to see what's available in there?

Greatly appreciated,

Marcus

Nothing to add to this thread, but wanted to say thanks to Harry for pointing out the X60 BIOS simulator page on the Lenovo site. I'd never seen this before and didn't know it existed. Nice.

Phil.

pkiff, you're welcome. There are several simulators out there if anyone needs them ...

Harry's post was the first I knew of a BIOS simulator also. My first though when I looked at it, was "kool", then I thought "why would I ever need that?" Anyway, nice to learn of something new.

Thanks for the replies - much appreciated.

Also in answer to the original question posed, doesn't seem to be anything relevant in there.

Cheers,

Marcus
