Scree Flicker while on battery power

I hate to bring back an old subject that has been beaten to death.
I purchased a Thinkpad x60 and have been VERY happy with it. Recently, I installed a fresh copy of Windows XP with all the latest drivers. Now, when I'm battery power I get a screen flicker and every so often I have to hit fn-F4 to put the machine in standby and fn-F4 again. Then everything is fine for awhile.
I've searched the forums and found this seems to be a video driver issue. I'm using 6.14.10.4926. I understand I need to find the version prior to that, but I can't find it anywhere.
Can someone point me in the right direction to get an older video driver that will resolve this problem?
Thanks in advance.
