Hi all!

My friend broke LCD and need to got replacement. He bought Hydins from ebay seller and need to wait 14days. He can got this LCD for less than 10$. He need only replace for few days. It is possible to put this LCD into X61s?

I seriously doubt the cable would be the same on some random 12.1" screen. Chances are it's not possible.

I was feeling in a helpful mood, so I checked the datahseets for that screen and for the N121X5 (which was used in the X6x line).

No go. They're the same number of pins, but the pin-out is different. Based on the pin-out, I'd say that you stand a pretty good chance of blowing out the display, a fuse on your machine, or both. Don't do it.

TBH, if you're going to try a replacement on your own I'd recommend you either need to start checking the datasheets or stick to parts with HMM-listed FRUs. Just guessing at what might be compatible based on the viewable area isn't going to end well...
