I believe the max is 4GB PC2-5300.
Can it take PC2-6400?
Thanks

PC2-6400 should work, however while you can stuff 4GB RAM in an X60s, the OS will only recognize 3GB. Also, the PC2-6400 will run at PC2-5300 speed.

Thinkwiki.org lists that it supports a maximum of 2GB per slot.
However they also list that it ...
"Supports 2048M per stick, for a total of 4096M, this was offered as 4GB PC3-8500, FRU 51J0493 (lenovo compatibility list)".

That's a single 4GB stick of RAM and it's also PC3.
I don't know if that will fly in the CoreDuo versions. Maybe it's only for the Core2Duo versions?

You can put in 4GB of DDR2 memory into your X60 and it will work, but the X60, T60, R60 and Z61 are all chipset limited to 3GB, regardless of the configuration. That's an error on Thinkwiki. DDR3 won't fit.
