Hello everyone, I'm not a newbie but my old reg info was from Iceland and I cannot remember what email I used? the X61 screen has 3 wires going to the wireless/video/whatever card, the X60 has 2? I'm switching cards but there is a three wire connector that runs along the right side to almost the front and plugs into the motherboard, the wire colors are BLACK, BROWN & RED on a small plug that would accept 4 wires, it has a Intel chip next to it maybe an inch and a quarter by 2 with 3 black chips, the socket its plugged into is identicle to the one next to it, the part # is 08083N. on the X60 the slot next to where its missing is # 64NRA
The X60 has a spot for it but it appears its either intergrated/left out or I have no idea, I say this because the slot it would plug into is not on the X60 but looks as if it could have been an option? Lenovo support says for the X61 specs Custom Configured by customer without any more info. There is no where else I see to plug this WHATEVER???? in? Does anyone know what it is? the X61 model is 7762-CTO & the X60 is 6363-2AU, the X60 came as only the base from ebay and works fine to an external monitor.
Does anyone know what this wire connector with BLACK, BROWN & RED is for?
UPDATE: Ibm's hardware manual says the slot I don't have in the T60 is for WAN PCI express mini card or Intels Turbo Memory card?
