X61s tablet does not stay powered on

I have a 7762-B6U and lately is giving me problems.
This are the symptoms:
It does not stay powered on, sometimes it will stay powered on for a few minutes, most of the time it does not even last a few seconds. It is progressively getting worst.
Not only, it will not stay powered on, if it shuts down and you restart it it goes into Rescue and Recovery- but will not continue on.
Has anyone have this experience?.

Run PC Doctor and check the keyboard, especially the power switch.
Also check the DC-in connector to be tight, check if the powercord is not frayed or loose, AND check that your wall outlet is 'solid'.

In PC Doctor, there's a keyboard test to check EVERY individual key.

Ok I will but how I run PC Doctor if it shot down almost immediate, I need sometime to do so, won't it be better to get a new keyboard if this problem is keyboard related?

I don't know if the keyboard is the problem, but if it is, the PCDoctor test would reveal it.
Take out all RAM, wifi, HD, modem (and WWAN if present), then try and power up.
If it beeps 1-3-3-1, the motherboard is still usable.
Put 1 RAM module back, try to start. If OK, try the other RAM by itself. If OK, try with both.
If OK, add 1 item at the time and try to start until you find the 'sinner'.
While you have it open, remove the fan, clean off the old gunk and replace the thermal paste between CPU and fan with Arctic Silver 5. Blow out the dust from the fan (hold the fan with a toothpick, to stop it from over-revving).

Could it be overheating? The X61 gets really hot in my experience, especially with a clogged fan.

it would probably be worth fixing, depending on the screen condition. I have a replacement board, or I would be interested in buying the broken one if you don't want to fix it.
