x60t pen eraser not working after update

Hi,

I would really appreciate any help with this.

I "upgraded" to Office 2010, and after doing so the machine also installed a bunch of updates, I think to XP (I am running XP).

Now, the eraser end of my tablet pen acts as a pen, i.e. it does not recognize the eraser.

I don't know if its the upgrade to office 2010 or to the system files that did it.

I checked the setting and the pen setting to use the top of pen to erase is selected.

The right click feature of the pen on the side does work.

Unfortunately, I do not have a restore point to go back to. They were taking up so much space I had to disable that feature.

I do not see updated drivers or anything for the wacom pen, but maybe I am not looking the right place.

I would be grateful if someone had a suggestion to get the eraser end working again. One option is to upgrade to Windows 7 and see if that works but that is a hassle and cost and would want to avoid right now.

Try uninstalling/reinstalling the wacom and other associated drivers.
Office (or the consecutive updates) might have overwritten a 'wacom-needed' file, not unheard of.
Reinstallation should get you back on track.

So I removed the wacom drivers, and restarted the computer. Only one of them came back. I think maybe I dont see where to get the latest drivers. Issue persists..

Any idea for next steps?
