What files should I DL from Lenovo for my X60s 1702-68U?
I thought I should get the Thinkvantage Toolbox and something else but can't remember the something else.
Now that I'm looking over the new Lenovo support site, I see a Device Enhancer program something or other that sounds similar to Thinkvantage Toolbox. Do I need both?

I installed Thinkvantage System Update. It didn't find any updates.

I installed Thinkvantage Toolbox. It only found that I don't have a Sierra Wireless modem MC5720 driver and no backup software installed.

I installed Hotkey functionality. I don't know if W7 had them working correctly without it.
I know they didn't work on my X31 without it using W7.
I know they didn't work on my 3000 n100 without it using Ubuntu.
I'm dual booting W7 and Ubuntu.

Thank you

G'Day PO*...
not sure where you tried the downloads for X60s, but here is the links:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... idate=true

Also; for me i NEVER USE ThinkVantage TOOLBOX - dont see any point in it and its resourve hingry!
but one of few things (from ThinkVantage set) I do install is System Update (for win7= 4.0) Maybe you read about SU here on this thread that I wrote about <SU>
And make sure ALL THE RE-RESQUISISTES are 'installed before hand. Once that is done , make sure your "dot net" things are fully updates and working CORRECTLY. Than I would :
a) uninstall SU
b) reboot
c) install FRESH downloded version of SU

Hope this fixes your problems / Issues
I have an older TPs than X60 (was thinking to get X60x but they were too much money at those times now they are very cheap ) T20 and it runs win7&UB10.4 nicely (done a few of these for the Local High School Library in Mansfield MA - kids love it !)

Cheers

edited- fixed link

Not sure if it's the same with the X60s, but the Lenovo supplied graphics driver for the X61 doesn't support GPU acceleration whereas the latest one from Intel does, but breaks the OSD brightness indicator.
