Hello,
after having had two more damaged x60-boards (one bad graphics and one all black, seller from the UK), I did receive a technically (PC-Doc) seemingly fully functional board from the US. I did update the bios (Zenders) as I want to use a more recent WLAN-card.
Now I do receive a 0191-Error at boot , as if the board did wait for / request a confirmation of its update via LAN. Would it suffice to take of both batteries (normal one and the bios battery) to get rid of that interference? As I did not receive that error before, it should not be anything more serious...
Any advice how to overcome this state would be appreciated...
Thanks in advance...
P.S.: I happen to find ebay becoming a less reliable source of used parts...

Removing CMOS battery might help.
If not, try reflashing the BIOS with the Lenovo version, if need be first with an older version, than the latest.

Thanks Realblackstuff,
the bios-message was misleading, the fix easy:
I had mistakenly disabled some bios-features (network-related) before updating the bios.
I just changed to "default" and redid the bios update (forced as zender showed by flash2/u). After a full shutdown and reboot the errorcode did not show up again.
I redid the disabling, all seems now ok.
Thanks for Your swift reply
