I believe that I broke the clear screen over the LCD. LCD is in perfect condition. Can I buy the protection plate alone? or do I need a donor with a new protection plate? The plate is cracked from corner to corner. Picture is perfect straight on, but noticeable at an angle. See post below.

I have not been able to find them. As far as moving from a donor, if you have ax X60 tablet, you can remove the plate if you are careful. It is attached with some sort of sticky adhesive. X61 protective plates are attached with some sort of epoxy-like material. You are likely to break something else if you try to remove it. For the reasons described above, x61 tablets also make poor donors.

Recently I tried to put an X41t LCD in an X31.
For doing that, I removed the plate in question.
I broke off a very small corner, so small that the broken/missing piece would disappear under the LCD bezel.
I messed up the LCD, but I still have the 'plate'.
AFAIK those LCDs have the same size.
You can have my 'plate for shipping cost, but since I'm away from home for several weeks, you'd have to wait till I get back

So it appears I was not all there, the part that is broken is the Digitizer glass, the protective plate is fine. So needing the Digitizer glass looks like I need a new assembly of 13n7233 unless the digitizer glass can be used from another unit.

Any thoughts on salvaging the digitizer glass from another unit? Will the glass be the same from the multi-touch (I have) to the pen input only?

That's not glass, it's the digitizer plastic/acrylic 'plate' I was talking about (with the tiny broken-off corner).

Think one from a x41 will work with multi-touch? or would the plate only transfer through the pen.
