X60 Tablet with Windows 7 - Finger touch not working

Hello

I recently received an X60 Tablet without a digitizer pen. After installing Windows 7 and all Lenovo software (from Thinkvantage System Update) touch input is not working. Device manager shows the Wacom driver and it shows it working as expected. Tablet buttons are working but touch *does not* work.

Is this expected? Will touch input only work with the Lenovo Pen? I have no way to test this right now. The model is 6363A17.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Not all X6x tablets came with a touch option, and looking your model up, it says "12.1in 1400x1050 LCD" (it'd say "touch" somewhere in there if it was a touchscreen). also I believe all of the SXGA+ screens were pen only.

Mario is correct. This unit is a pen unit only.

wow .. i dint know that until now .. i havent had a chance to play with the thinkpad tablet laptops yet :( .. but always assumed that these tablets were atleast 'resistive' finger touch friendly .. is this the same case for older thinkpad x4xT models ????
