Require help identifying X60(s)?

Hi,
I happen to have purchased what was supposed to be a X60, model 1706-W3Q. Prior to purchasing, I looked up the model which does bring it up as a X60. However, when it arrived, I noticed that the screen bezel marked as X60s. On booting and checking the bios, it is indeed reported as a 1706-W3Q - however there is no sticker on the base identifying type or serial number.
I bought this machine with the intention of creating a frankenpad of some sort as a hobby, ultimately wanting to end up with a X61 maxed out with diy screen upgrade. So..
I'm having some trouble identifying if I actually have a X60 base or X60s base as I think that x60s will only be able to take x61s motherboards? I've looked all over for a FRU on the base to check in the HMM, but I can't seem to find the FRU anywhere - it's listed as 42W3974 on the bottom of the base. It's important as I plan to change the motherboard and obviously want it to fit!
If anyone can help me, it'd be most appreciated. Thanks!
