You probably need to use the digitizer pen, not your finger.

(unless you have the "Multitouch" panel)

Have you installed the drivers?

There are tablet and tablet button drivers on lenovo's site or you run windows update or lenovo update to at least get them started.

Then in Windows 7 if you go to Control Panel, and then System it will state either 'Pen input available' or 'Pen and Single Touch Input Available' depending on the screen type.

If you go to Control Panel, and then System it will state either

'Pen input available' = Digitizer only
'Pen and Single Touch Input Available' = Digitizer and Touch

Thinkpads Past - T20, T21, T23, X21, X30, T60, X31, X60

I see - the French version must display the info differently..

Does the pen work?

In system, device manager under Human Interface Devices do you have any WACOM devices? If so what are their hardware IDs?

In Windows 7, open the Start Menu and right-click on Computer. Click on Properties to open up the System dialog that grunger106 was talking about.
