Anyone have older Win 7 X3100/965 chipset drivers?

I get a screen flicker bug in games with the newest drivers (ahem, most current, but 2 years old) from Intel, and if I uninstall and let Windows fetch an older version from May 2009 (8.15.10.1749) the screen flicker is gone. But performance feels quite a bit slower. Does anyone know where I can get the driver that was released right before the latest one? Maybe that one will boost performance but won't have the flicker bug

Did you guys upgrade via the lenovo software to get to the newer drivers?
I think for my X61t (windows 7-64bit), I just went with the default Windows 7 drivers (from 2009) instead of installing the Lenovo Intel Chipset drivers. I recall upgrading to all the latest drivers once on the X60 (windows 7-32bit) and running into the flickering problem, so I removed that updated driver.
Video drivers are pesky things. Not sure how you would downgrade to the Windows 7 provided version of the drivers. I know if you uninstall the current drivers, your screen will go blank until you safe-boat and do a system restore.

For me I downloaded straight from Intel. There's no Win 7 "Lenovo version" of the display driver for the X6x systems, only up to Vista. The Lenovo update program also doesn't offer any display drivers on my Win 7 setup.
To downgrade I just uninstalled the official driver using add/remove programs and restarted. Then Windows just pulls the older one on its own.
For me the flicker is also while on battery. I think you may have a different flicker. For me the flicker is ONLY in games and it's not really a flickering, but the screen shifts downwards for a split second and goes back to normal and it does that pretty often. Doesn't happen in the desktop or when watching movies, only in video games

For me, when I click on update driver for the Intel graphic driver, it tells me I'm up to date with the 2009 driver.
The drivers appear on the lenovo site. Its looped into the Intel Chipset package. I know this because, I recently tried to boot up the X60 hard drive in a X61, and during bootup I guess it didn't like the graphic driver not matching with the new hardware, because it corrupted my driver and from that point in time, Windows refused to use Aero citing that the colour depth was too low. Colour depth was 32bit true color, but it still said it was too low. The troubleshooter tool could not fix the problem. I tried everything, including the tricks to force Aero. I tried setting the color depth to a lower value, then a higher, tried using the Intel graphic program etc. I also noticed the graphics very slow and often wouldn't refresh properly.
I tried uninstalling the graphic driver but that I only left me with a machine that wasn't operable. Eventually I just downloaded the Intel Chipset package on the lenovo support site for the X60. After the install, the display was back to full functionality.

Ended up uninstalling Win 7 because of this (the ones provided by MS, which apparently are made by Intel, are too slow). Installed XP and now performance is actually even much better than with the latest Intel drivers on Win 7 and there's no flicker bug.

Tried a few of them but yes, the one suggested by Windows works best.
Didn't have problems switching between them though. (Device Manager -> Display adapters -> Mobile 965... -> Driver -> Update Driver -> Browse my computer... -> Let me pick... -> Pick the one you like.
Talked about it here:

Cheers.
