I recently bought a x60 off ebay, and love it. I tried to do a warranty lookup, and it is not in the database. I am positive I am entering the right serial number, and have confirmed that the s\n on the chassis matches the bios. I called lenovo and they said the only way to correct it was to provide an original order number, which I have no way of getting.

Any ideas?

What are the first two letters of the serial number?

FWIW, the chances it would still be in warranty are very slim.

Ya, the X60 was finished off many years ago. An X61 may be border-line still in warranty (I had one just expired end of Aug and another end of May)

The serial number starts with LV. I just want to be able to see more than anything the original configuration data. I was able to get the specs from the Type number.

You need to enter:
Machine type = 1709
Serial = LV12345 and not LV-12345 (substitute with your correct S/N)

When I enter it that way, with the Type and S\N without the dash, the result I get is:

Error : Multiple results found, Detailed search request required.

Does the same serial number display in BIOS as is indicated on the bottom sticker? If not, check the serial number from BIOS at the warranty check site.

The S\N on the chassis and bios match. I tried running the system toolbox program, and the message it gave was "system warranty information could not be retrieved"
