Adding on Warranty from eBay purchases -

Is this possible? You see a lot of these "new" laptops or refurbished on eBay, but they've got like 8 or so months left on warranty (blargh). I'm curious if one can ever reup on an unexpired laptop?

Push comes to shove I'm thinking of just grabbing a base model (T430s) from Lenovo and upgrading as I see fit (as I'm not really seeing any deals online).

If the machine originated in the Outlet, where its model number would most likely end in CTR instead of CTO, you can't add warranty.

If the machine was bought via other means and hasn't had the warranty already extended/upgraded, one can do it regardless of whether it was bought on feebay or received as a gift...

Thank you. Exactly info I was looking for. Lenovo online help was. . .not so great.
