I had that problem when adding a wireless network card into my T-30 and R-40. I found a file which changes the BIOS bit and it worked perfectly. The site where I found the file has since gone, or at least times out. As a public service, and if this post doesn't get pulled, I have made the file and a short description of use available at my web site. Here is the link.

Hi Wayne,
Glad to see another DFW person on the Forum! My class is finishing some self-guided work today so I've gotten a chance to enjoy your website. I really appreciate you approach to make it more informational instead of the typical "flash-bang" with little substance. I'll bet you've accumulated some very interesting telecom stuff over the course of your career!
Anyway, I'm interested in which card you were using in you T30 and had to use the utility to clear the error. You can see in my sig which ones I have in our machines. Interestingly, it needed to have the error cleared on the T23 that I originally had it in, but not on the T30 when I migrated over a few months ago. Actually, I don't think my wife needed it for her A31 either. Hopefully, I'll be able to continue using them in the next round of updates since they've performed so well for us.
Back to you. . .

Both are the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG wireless cards. I got them on eBay for about fifteen bucks each. I downloaded the software from the Intel site after a search there for drivers. Great site, everything works perfectly.
Thanks for the kind words about my site.

Wayne, that's good stuff there. I am going to put it in the FAQ's workspace so it won't get buried to far down here. And I can remember where it is. Thanks.
