T500 Type 2081-CTO question...

Any chance of getting either the Intel Mobility 4 Series or ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 to run QE/CI on a 2081-CTO? I have 10.6.8 installed and it seems stable.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 – Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID:0x9591
Intel Mobility 4 Series – Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID:0x2a42 (seen as a X3100 by OSX)

I can modify the org.chameleon.Boot.plist to force 1440x900 but that is the only res that will show and not QE/CI.

Has anyone successfully modified DSDT or either kext for force QE/CI?

I can upload DSDT, plist’s, etc… if needed.

After some research it appears that the GMA4500 as well as the ATi 3650 are not available as drivers under any OSX version so getting them to work with QE/CI seems highly unlikely. It appears there is a lot of interest in the GMA4500. Surprised that no one has been able to port over GMA4500 kexts done for another BSD derivative to OSX. Don't know how much work is involved but it seems there are quite a few laptop models that used that GPU.
