What's the consensus, can 1400x1050 work on OSX or not?

OK, here is a place to discuss OSX on thinkpads.

I see conflicting reports on these threads. Some people report artifacts and shearing, others say there are work arounds, but others still say those workarounds don't work for them.

What is the bottom line? Because I would prefer to buy the 14" T60p since its cheaper, lighter, and has better battery power, plus I am used to the resolution and size from my current T41p.

But if it will not be usable with OSX, then I am out of luck and need the 15" screen.

But I want to be sure that is the case.

Well to answer my own question it appears that using the 5200 ATI everything can be made to work perfectly.
