Does the IBM Wi-Fi work with OSX?

#1 Post by dxben » Wed Apr 19, 2006 3:56 am

I've read in the threads that the Intel wi-fi that is available in many of the T60p's does not work with OSX. However I see some of the T60's, such as the 2007-86U don't have the Intel/Centrino wi-fi but rather the IBM wi-fi.

Is this IBM wi-fi option working out of the box with OSX?

i am about to buy the 2007-83U but it has the Intel wi-fi. i suppose i can get an addon card but i figured why tie up a slot if it can be avoided and just get the 86U.

I just swapped out my intel for the atheros. 70 bucks well spent.

But no, the intel cards do not work in OSX as of yet.
