See this thread here:

It doesn't work for audio input, but hey, beggers can't be chosers. This is a big piece of the puzzle.

So does that mean that you can actually watch DVD movies on a ThinkPad in OS X? Is video fully supported on the T60p?

From what I've read, yes, video is fully supported, at least according to people who have the ATI 5200. its working in both 14" and 15" native resolutions.

Which ThinkPad are you using?

I'm really hoping audio and video will work on my X41, which should arrive this week. Audio worked fine on my X32 and T42, but seems to fail on the newer T60 (not sure about X60). Video seems to work on the newer T60, but not sure about X60. X41 is somewhere in between, wiht GMA900 common to the original Apple Iintel Reference systems, I just hope it works along with audio.

If I had both audio and video on the X41, I'd do away with Windows altogether.

Fingers crossed.

Nevermind, I got it working!

I followed that guide, THEN did the following

Clean your extensions cache:
rm /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache
kextcache -k /System/Library/Extensions
reboot

Ta-da! A fully functional MacPad!
