Corrupt Graphics (Video) in Mac OS X 10.4.6

Hello everybody,

today I tried installing the Mac OS X 10.4.6 (HOTiSO) on my
machine, a T42P 15" (2373W6M), ATI Fire GL T2, Pentium M 755 2 GHz, 2GB RAM.

The whole installation procedure was not a problem,
it just took me about an hour (partitioning, installation...).

But then I got a big problem:
After installation reboot the grey apple screen and the wheel appears
and then the screen graphics becomes corrupt. Most of
the desktop is black and I have weird colors and can't recognise
anything. Just something like a box in the middle of the screen
(maybe a log-in dialog or sth.).

So, has anybody of you a solution for this problem? I read some
posts that OS X would run fine on the T4xP machines, at least the
graphics normally worked.
Is there a shortcut or sth. to interrupt the boot-up and get a shell or boot options?

The installation procedure:

At the Mac OS X installer I checked the options for SSE2 and SSE3,
unchecked everything related to AMD, and unchecked drivers for the Intel GMA (onboard graphics).

Could this problem be related to the SSE3 installation? (Later I recognised that the Pentium 755 isn't capable of SSE3)!!

Thanks

EDIT:
Now I reinstalled OS X, leaving out X11 and SSE3.
BUT no change, video is still totally corrupt!

Maybe there is a change when leaving out the ATI Readon Mobility drivers ?!

EDIT2:

Now it is running :D ....[censored] ATI Radeon Mobility driver didn't work!!!
With HOTiSO and a ATI Fire GL T2 Graphics you better leave out the ATI Radeon Mobility driver and use the standard driver!
After installation you have to modify the configuration file to get 1600x1200x32 :D
