OSX 10.4.6 (Jas) on t42p works nicly

#1 Post by ibm350 » Sun Oct 08, 2006 8:11 pm

now I'm really wishing that Apple would sell me a license to run it.

I'm getting almost perfect 1600x1200x32 (only an under cursor artifact issue),
seems to suspend on lid close (how do i turn that off?),
sound is slightly garbled,
atheros wifi works stunningly
the external usb ibm trackpoint III keyboard works,

but on the whole, a Thinkpad makes for a fantastic OSX notebook.

The hardest decision's going to be if I continue to break their license, and run it as my main OS.

You can just go and buy yourself a copy of Tiger and that should take care of your coincience, right?

I own some Mac's and a copy or two of Tiger, so it doesn't bother me, heh.

Reason i'm running OSX on my X60s is that my 12" Powerbook is just too slow now compared to all the core duo's going around. I actually purchased a Macbook to replace my 12" pb, but i found it too big and too heavy for my taste, so i ended up returning it and buying the X60s.

I'll gladly buy another Apple notebook if they ever get around to releasing something smaller, but there's no way i'm lugging a macbook around lol.
