I want to see if it will work as well, because of the built-in webcam.
Could we substitute this for a MacBook iSight camera built in? Would it read natively? Could it be hacked to be used with iChat?
This would be a HUGE deal.

My particular model of Z61m doesn't have a built in webcam, which I was disappointed about when I got my thinkpad. =o(

IBM/Lenovo has a 30-day (21 now?) return policy to play with it.
You could still get your camera one, if it's new enough.

I could have done that, but I'm happy with my purchase. I don't think I would have used it anyways.

Hello People!
I have a Z61m Dual 2Core 1,67Ghz, Intel Gm950. JaS 10.4.6 is basically working fine, but...
it would be really nice to get the following thinks to work:
- Sleep Mode
- Brightness adjustments with the keyboard
would be also cool to get
- Sound (SoundMax dev_1981 ven_11D4) (tried the solution at
http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=20164)
- Ethernet (Broadcom dev_1601 ven_14E4) (also tried insanelymac.com post "Broadcom BCM5752 Gigabit interface working on a Dell...")
to work...
Does anybody have an idea?
Thanx,
Ritsche

hi cpascu
thanks for the reply!
are all the things mentioned above working with 10.4.8 on your Z61m? if yes, did they work without any patching?
best
