/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.boot.plist
and remove the cpus = 1 flag. Just thought I'd post it up here for anyone else with the same problem. Having both cores operational doubled my bench mark scores!

Interesting. What was the exact version and name of the OSX86 that you installed? I am new so I see these variants..
Kalyway
Leo4All etc.. So many names. Confusion.

Hey,
I used the Kalyway 10.5.2 method. Installed vanilla 9.2 kernel, then updated via the kalyway combo update. Everything is still running fine. Next is the sound, and the people over at insanelymac are getting very close to fixing that.

For now, I'm using a 7.1 usb sound stick that I bought off ebay for around 15$ and it's working pretty good.

I need some help with the wireless.
I have the Thinkpad Wireless card. I know it works since I had it working before when I started with Kalyway 10.5.1 and upgrade to 10.5.2. I decided to do a fresh install, so I started with Kalway 10.5.2. I'm using the SSE with Sleep Kernal. After the install, I modified Info.plist under IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirPortAtheros.kext/Contents to add <string>pci168c,1014</string>.
No matter what I do, I can't get the system to see the card. It doesn't show any airport card installed.
Any thoughts?
Also, I did try it with different kernals, including 9.3 and also tried an upgrade to 10.5.3 with the same results.
Thanks

Maybe he means QuartzGL? I just turned it on, and now it says it's working and video performance is notably improved. It still does not recognize my Quadro 570 though, and still says 32Mb VRAM.

Alright everybody, after suffering through a gazillion posts, tons of tweaking, and lots of work, I have a nice OS X Leopard 10.5.1 install on my T61p (Type 6459-CTO the CTO is Custom To Order). This will apply to most T and X61s. First and foremost, the real congratulations and thanks goes to everybody who did the hard work behind these fixes. The only thing semi-original that I did is the Sierra Wireless and I got the inspiration for that from Linux users.
Actually, the tremendous work you've done in organizing everything in one place is extremely valuable. If I ever meet you in person I'd buy you a beer. Thank you!

Which version of OSX86 did you start with / recommend?
Is it some Kalyway version or iatKos? I'd like to try it out.

I recently booted from the iPC Final DVD of Leopard as bozilla and some others had recommended that Distro as the best.
First time I tried. The screen showed the apple logo and was doing nothing.
Second time it was showing the "animated circle" and later also showed a small gray/silver "prohibited / banned" sign
http://rlv.zcache.com/no_symbol_univers ... cl_400.jpg
in the middle of the screen in front of apple logo as the animated circle below kept on going.
I waited for a long time and eventually rebooted out. How much time do I have to wait for this to do anything?
PS: Also, I plan to install the OS on a USB external HDD. I was able to create HFS partitions on it using MacDrive / TransMac.
Should I use / try some other distro / methods instead?
