Hey, I've got a T60p with the FireGLv5250 card. I got it really close to working properly with these kexts:

... which were posted in this thread. A couple of T60p users reported success with those kexts in 10.5, but, for me, in 10.4.8, after installing them, I boot normally into the gray apple "loading" screen (in the correct resolution, for the first time), but then the screen just goes black. I am so close I can almost taste it, but I don't really know how to troubleshoot this. Is loading into a black screen a known OSX issue? Is it maybe something with the monitor, rather than the video card?

Basically, has anyone managed to get video fully working in 10.4.8 with the 5250?

read this thread:

This is how I got my FireGL 5250 working in 10.5 and I belive the steps are the same for 10.4.8.

To load kexts, boot in the safe mode by holding Shift key until gray Apple logo appears.

Hm. I tried several times to do it that way (with the monitor EDID in the AtiInject plist), but I'm still loading into a black screen, or occasionally, into black and white bars (like pinstripes). Tiger is running and responds normally, but the display is not active.

I'll keep trying.
