Hello,

I've just installed Leopard on a T60 and it works fine (except wifi of corse) but the biggest problem is the keyboard !

Is some one have a map for french thinkpad keyboard ? I've found french keyboard map, but not for thinkpad, just for standard keyboards.

Thanks a lot,
bye
Arnaud.

No you're not
Had a go at Tiger a few months ago on my X60, and it worked pretty fine (except for sleep, which is the reason why I stopped experimenting).
Concerning the French-layout keyboard, unfortunately, I can't remember exactly what I did, but I know it worked fine. The forum which helped me solve this issue was the Insanely Mac forum, where I remember I found a little program which allowed me to remap every single key on my keyboard.

Sorry I can't be more helpful, but hopefully you will find what you need on the forum.

Hello,

I managed yesterday to have a full working french keyboard on my Thinkpad X40.

You can use the FrenchPC.keylayout and modified ApplePS2Controller.kext on my web page http://www.newtale.com/pp/article475.html (in French).

In short the FrenchPC.keylayout gives you the French mapping, but some keys didn't work with original ApplePS2Controller (<> key, right alt which now can be mapped to command or control key different from left alt).

So I ripped the VoodooPS2Keyboard and included it in ApplePS2Controller (using VoodooPS2Controller directly crashed my OSX), that new controller should also work better with international PC keyboards.

Best Regards

I can confirm this modified kext allows me to use the backslash/pipe key (to the left of Z) on a UK-layout ThinkPad keyboard, which I wasn't able to do with the ApplePS2Controller.kext that was bundled with iPC OSx86 10.5.6. However, the left Alt becomes Option instead of Command with this kext, but you can swap it back in System Preferences. Of course, you also need a UK keyboard layout file such as this one.
