hello, i am currently downloading the iATKOS_v1.0ir2.iso, and I was wondering if anyone had success with this image (it looks like people have since there are so many topics regarding this particular image on these forums).

I've tried uphuck 10.4.8, which works, but I can't get any ethernet or wireless (even with iwidarwin: http://code.google.com/p/iwidarwin/ which supposedly works (doesn't for me)

i also tried kalaway 10.5.0, but that just froze at the grey apple loading screen (booting with the flags [i don't remember which] didn't help it)

anyway, i have the intel PROSet/Wireless 4965a/g/n and the Intel Corporation 82566MM Gigabit Network Connection (according to lspci)

i am just looking for any sort of internet connection at all. all i really mostly need OSX for is just for adobe CS3 suite to manage my websites, and WOW (it doesn't work on my current linux setup).

IWIDarwin does not work (meaningfully) with anything newer than an Intel 2915. Sorry.

IATKos does not have drivers for either the Intel wireless or the Intel wired ethernet card.

Your best bet would be to get a USB ethernet adapter like the Linksys USB200M. This works out of the box with all OS 10.5 variants that I've tried. An alternative would be to swap your wireless card for an Atheros variant - but you'll need to make sure to get a Lenovo-branded card to avoid 1802 BIOS errors. Some USB wireless dongles can also be made to work.

Also worth noting that sound is currently not supported. If you have external speakers or a headset, something like Griffin's USB iMic can get around that.
