Leopard (Kalyway 10.5.1) Successfully installed on R52

Well, after lots of trying with previous versions of Mac OSX, I have managed to install Leopard on my R52 (type 1860)

Basic steps:-

During the setup process I had another monitor connected to the laptop so I would not have problems with the computer locking up on me.

I used a blank hard disk so I did not attempt a multi boot setup
I had problems after installing Leopard that it would not boot up without the disk in the DVD drive. So, I installed the Jas version 10.4.8 first as I know I could get that to boot from the hard drive.
(The disk was formatted with the MBR format)

Then upgraded using the Kalyway 10.5.1 Dvd
Only checked SS2 support, and MBR boot and let it run.

After rebooting the password for access had to be reset (there are instructions elsewhere eg insanelymac and these worked)
So, now the R52 would boot without the DVD in the drive.
At this point, the sound works, RJ45 works, USB works.

Built in wireless does not work and I did not waste any time trying to get it going. I had spent many hours looking for drivers and because its not the Atheros chip set, I knew it would not work.
So, I used a Dlink DWL-G122 (rev c1) I found drivers that worked (leave a reply if you need them as I can't remember where I found them, and I will send them)
Once the D-link card was connected, I opened the System Preferences and opened the Network icon. I clicked the + key to add another ethernet connection and it found the D-link.

So, now the wireless works (under WEP)

Please note there are 2 small problems and if someone can help me fix them, I will be a happy man!
Firstly, without the second screen attached, I have to press Fn-F7 as soon as the screen goes from grey to blue, then the system continues into Mac Leopard.
Secondly, the D-link USB dongle needs to be removed and then re-inserted for Leopard to recognise it and connect to the internet.

All up, lots of hours spent trying to find a patch for the GMA900 graphics chipset to get over the Fn-F7 issue - but without success and a lot of trawling to find the drivers for the D-Link
But, all worth it as I really like Leopard after many years of using Windows.
