anybody got sleep wake working ?

R60 gma950 , don't get 0192 error
kalyway, or iatkos, same

heard the gma950 is hit or miss, maybe the new x3100 is better,
still suspect the atmel chip culprit,

also post for battery meter , speedstep, and fan settings

Have you tried IATKos installed on a GUID-partitioned drive using PC_EFI and a vanilla kernel? Sleep seemed to work okay on my X61 in that case. No luck with SpeedStep though.

x51 sleep , GUID EFI iatkos , wake ok ?

so your x61 does wake from sleep ok ?

is yours :
core 2 duo , what is the cache size ?
and X3100, is that running quarz,QE,
can you change resolution, and use external LCD ?
how much memory you got installed ?
is that the 965 chipset ?

mine is not core 2 duo, but core duo, T2500, with less cache,
and gma950, with mbr,....
945 chipset,...

don't think the MBR or GUID is the key point,
thinking, I'd need a core 2 duo, or the gma950 is the problem,
heard the gma950 inititialization is not clean on that chip,
but sleep worked on my old dell ,...

For me the issue was the kernel. Vanilla kernel (which requires GUID) worked. Non-vanilla kernels either crash or don't sleep at all. YMMV.

The X61 uses the Intel 965 mobile with GMA X3100 and Core 2 Duo (7300 in my case).

hmm, thought I had vanilla kernel with mbr, due efi ?
how can I check if I run vanilla ? it does say mac pro ?
once I have a chance I'll try the patched iatkos with guid on seperate disk, in bay .
still think the core 2 duo and x3100 could make the difference,
of course, I can't change the graphics card,....
thanks, I'll report back, once I have a chance to install again,..

hurray! sleep wake, at last

so stumbled on this kalyway, ... F8 vanilla
now I did install efi and vanilla kernel, thought that's what's booting,
...
kalyway, boot, f8 vanilla

I was able to sleep and wake, that's if I boot from battery, and sleep /wake from battery,...
If I wake from power, it gets 0192 error,
if I boot from power and sleep, at wake it reboots,...
if I try iatkos with vanilla it crashes, think because of speedstep,...

now the installs where with mbr , since I don't know how to dual boot,
in GUID with windows xp and osx ...

big anoyying thing,.... with speedstep have no sleep,
with sleep, have no speedstep,
and in booth cases, fan is on always (most of the time) room temperature 63F
I'd like a lenovo with 14.1" 1400x1050 display and penryn T9300 cpu,
or those ultra low voltage ones,...
but they only offer widescreens now, the 14 only goes to 1440x900
I need 1024 min vertical for my apps,.... so only 15.4" left, args,...

I was getting the 0192 error when waking from sleep, but for me the solution was just too [censored] obvious.

Go to your thinkpad bios, select "security" and disable the embedded security chip.

Still get 0192 error after disabling security chip

Sorry, even after making the chip "disabled" in the BIOS I still get the 0192 error.

One circumstance under which I get the error is putting my ThinkPad x60s to sleep (with Apple Menu) and then waking it up with the power button. However, if I put the computer to sleep with the apple menu, then close the screen, and then reopen it when I want to wake up the computer, it has no problems. I go right back to my OS X desktop.

I guess if you want to wake your computer from sleep, use the screen open sensor rather than the power button.

Thanks.

BTW: I am running on Kalyway 10.5.1 and so far I have not installed any PowerManagement.bundle (I am not sure if this is included in the Kalyway install)

Interesting.
This makes some sense, since that is exactly how Apple laptops handle sleep (wake up upon reopen). On my PowerBook/MacBook sometimes it wouldn't recognize the lid opening and I would have to hit the power button to wake it-- but sometimes that took much longer... not sure why.

Nevertheless, have you guys tried iAtkos 2.0? I read that is much more compatible and should help out some issues that keep popping up.

I noticed the R61 I ordered has nearly the exact same specs as the x61 mentioned in this topic... so hopefully it will be a cakewalk :)

What partition map did you end up using? Have you changed anything or found anything else to be more compatible?

Thanks!
